Mark served in the Royal Air Force Regiment for 25 years. For more than 10 years he was the Senior Logistics Officer for the Royal Air Force Ski Championships Committee and is qualified as a full Ski Official to Europa Cup level within the FIS organisation.
On retiring from military service in 2009 he joined a Health & Safety Consultancy specifically dedicated to Workplace Health & Safety and so brings extensive workplace-based knowledge of all Health & Safety aspects to Ski Vie. In the UK his knowledge with regards to Chalet Hosting and the risks involved in respect to the role are second to none. He advises Ski Vie with all European Health & Safety Regulations, including environmental issues, in accordance with ISO 1400 and 1800 Series.
He has been married to Amanda for over a quarter of a century and he is Camera Operator for family ski and board championships - his videos are the stuff of legends!
